As the holiday season wraps around us like a warm blanket, I find myself reflecting on the incredible journey we've shared on SoloMoms! Talk.
Despite the dark days of winter, I'm filled with gratitude and can't help but extend my heartfelt wishes to you, my beloved solo mom.
This episode isn't just about holiday cheer; it's a celebration of our collective strength and the vibrant community we've cultivated. Together, we've navigated the rollercoaster of solo motherhood through 176 episodes filled with stories, advice, and interviews that have brought us laughter, tears, and an abundance of joy.
Get cozy with a cup of hot cocoa (or a glass of wine) as we revisit some of the most inspiring conversations, like the one with Robyn Sears, that have encouraged us to maintain a growth mindset through adversity.
We'll also celebrate the triumphs of solo moms such as Kim Becker and Zehra Mahoon, who have turned betrayal into a celebration of life.
Finally, as I step into the next chapter with 'SoloMoms! Talk: The Empty Nest Years, launching in February, my birthday month, I invite you to join me. This new monthly podcast will reflect the unique transition to the empty nest years, a phase both daunting and liberating.
Remember, as we look to the future with hope, we're reminded by Psalm 121 that we are never alone in this incredible journey.

Hello solo moms, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. I wanted to do this short bonus episode to say hello and to wish you all the best for this holiday season. I hope and pray that you're able to enjoy some time with your little ones or big ones and friends and relatives and just have an overall good and safe holiday. Also, sorry about my voice, I'm a bit nasally because I'm just getting over a cold, so apologies for that. I also hope that as you look forward to the new year, you are pondering and wondering and trying to figure out what your life will be like and, if you are, if that's on your mind, write down some goals. You know, use a journal or a notepad and write your goals. Don't be afraid to dream big, to decide what you want and then set some goals to achieve them. I really appreciate you listening to Solar Mom's talk for being a part of this community that I've been working with for the past five, six years. I've published a 176 episode filled with interviews and stories, tips and advice and how to live a joyful life as a solo mom, episodes like episode 30 of season six with Robin Sears on maintaining a growth mindset through adversity, and just stories of different solar moms, like Kim Becker and Zara Mahoon, solar moms who have gone through, who have survived betrayal and are in the and are celebrating life, and so I am really grateful to you for hanging with me, for listening, for sharing, for even writing your comments and giving us a 5 star rating. We have a lot of 5 star ratings and people have said some good things about Solar Mom's talk, about the stories we share and about the tips we share on creating something like creating better credit and financial stability with Natalie Noisette, and so I hope you continue to listen to these episodes and they'll continue to resonate with you and help you navigate this solar parenting journey. It's really an exciting journey, the solo mom journey. Sometimes the excitement isn't fun, I must admit, you know, because it is a struggle both mentally and otherwise. You know it's difficult raising children alone. It's difficult raising children alone, especially when those children may come with specific challenges, whether it's medical challenges or it's just behavioral challenges, and so the journey of a solo mom is unique and different, as you well know. I want to address something I've been thinking about, something that I've experienced, and that is the emptiness years of the Solar Mom. It is as unique as the journey of being a solo mom. So imagine you're now alone, the kids are gone and your life is now your own, and if you're not prepared for the emptiness years, it can be confusing, it can be difficult, it can discombobulate you, and I'm sure there's someone listening who can understand what I'm talking about. So, because of my own journey and because of other solo moms I've talked to, I have created a podcast that goes beyond Solar Mom's talk. It's called Solar Mom's Talk the Emptiness Years, and this is set to launch in my birthday month, February. It's the month of love, and I am really excited to launch this new podcast, and so I hope that you will continue on this journey with me. I will continue Solar Mom's Talk because we always have solo moms right and children are born to us every day and go through the phases that they go through. So Solo Moms! Talk will still exist, but SoloMoms! Talk: The Empty Nest Years will reflect more of the present reality of my life. So join me. The new podcast will be published monthly and, like I said, we launch in February, and so I hope you'll find that it's as beneficial, if not more beneficial, to you as SoloMoms! Talk has been. Again, I pray that you have a happy holiday, a fun holiday, and may be filled with happiness and joy, and that you receive all that you were hoping for and to get what you want for 2024 and beyond, set some goals, because whatever you dream, you can achieve, but you have to take steps to realizing those dreams. Thank you again, thanks for listening. I love you and remember you're not alone, so you don't have to parent in silence. The Lord will keep you from all evil. He will keep your life. The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forth and forever more. So join me on 121, verses seven and eight.
