How do you help your grieving children through the loss of a loved one when you are grieving yourself. #griefencouragement #grievingchildren
November is Children's Grief Awareness Month.
In this interview, Jenny Lisk shares her story of losing her husband to brain cancer. Jenny realized that her children were grieving too. She developed a strategy to help them deal with the loss of their dad.
Fact: According to NIH.gov, more than 140,000 US children lost a primary caregiver due to COVID-19.
Everyone who grieves needs some type of help to manage that grief. Children are no exception. And as I shared in the previous video, grief left unmanaged can cause long-term problems.
